Mumbai Opener Bhupen Lalwani playing at an average of 200.00+ in Col CK Nayadu Trophy’19

Bhupen has been performing consistently at the club level since many years. In the previous season he had scored 8 tons in club cricket in a span of just 2 or 3 months and now he is performing at the state level with same consistency.

In the match vs Assam which was played on 11th dec, Bhupen had smashed a marathon knock of 269* runs in mere 259 balls which helped Mumbai win by an innings and 6 runs. In the next match which followed on 19th december, Bhupen scored a polished 112* off 180 balls vs Baroda even though Mumbai lost that game.

In the 3rd game which was against Himachal Pradesh on 27th of December, Bhupen scored 85 and 127 across both the innings while the match ended in draw. Bhupen with 3 back to back tons in 3 matches so far has amassed 612 runs in Col CK Nayadu Trophy at an average of 204.4 and if his consistency since the last few seasons is anything to go by, Bhupen certainly looks poised for a Ranji Trophy call up.
