One short of a deserving fifty: Ranka guides Arch Mavericks home in the Architects T20 Championship’20

Played between AESA Pune XI and Arch Mavericks at the Chereshwar Club, Trombay, AESA Pune batting first were bundled out for 93 runs in 18.3 overs. It was a lackluster performance with the bat as all the batters found it difficult to get going vs the tight bowling of Arch Mavericks. From the bowlers, Shamal Palod with 3/19 in 4 overs was excellent while Nikhil Jain with 2/9 in 3.3 overs proved to be equally impressive.

Chasing 94 looked like a mere formality as Arch Mavericks chased down the total in mere 12.1 overs. Opener Pranay Ranka top scored for his team with an unbeaten 49* off 33 balls laced with 10 boundaries. Pranay has been in good nick this season and continues to give solid performances in the AT20 Championship Season 8.

Result- Arch Mavericks won by 7 wkts, Pranay Ranka declared ‘Man of the Match”
