Pandya in unreal form: smashes a belligerent 158* off 55 balls in the DY Patil T20 Cup’20
If a 38 ball hundred and some back to back fifers were not enough to stage a blockbuster arrival to IPL and Indian Cricket, Hardik Pandya now ups the ante with a completely unreal knock at the DY Patil Stadium on 6th March, 20
Reliance 1 after losing two of their openers with just 10 runs on board were not off to the best starts but Saurabh Tiwary (41) and Hardik Pandya stitched a 106 run stand for the 3rd wicket. Pandya coming at no.4 smashed every bowler with absolute disdain as he went on to score a mesmerizing innings of 158* in mere 55 balls. Yes you heard that right, Pandya played with a strike rate of nearly 300 plonking 20 sixes in his unbeaten hundred to push Reliance 1 to 238/4 in 20 overs.
BPCL in reply were all out for 134 runs with Reliance 1 bowlers again doing their job with perfection. Rahul Chahar who had bagged a fifer in his previous outing again was the pick of the lot taking 3/19 in 4 overs.
