Pilani bags MoM award from OIS Blasters while Sundaresh puts a brilliant effort in a close match JFSC Dads Premier League’21

Played at the picturesque MIG Cricket Club in Bandra, OIS Blasters chose to bat first after winning the toss putting up a more than decent total of 187/5 in 20 overs. Even though it was a shaky start with 2/33 at the end of the first powerplay, the late burst by Rishi Pilani at no.4 ensured their team reached a decent total. Rishi scored 43* off 22 balls (7 fours) & accelerated just at the right time to get things going for his team. From the bowlers, Anand Thakkar with 2/19 in 2 overs was the pick of the lot.

Chasing 188 in a T20 is always a difficult task especially when the wicket starts to change in the 2nd half. Roaring Lions who lost their openers early got back into the game with a brilliant partnership of 128 runs for the 4th wicket between Mehul Ratanghayka (51* off 43) and Sundaresh Subramanian who played a blinder of a knock. Sundaresh almost helped his team cross the victory line scoring a fabulous 80 off mere 35 balls, a knock which consisted 8 humungous sixes at a strike rate of 228.57. However, Sundaram got dismissed in the 3rd last ball of the match which resulted in Roaring Lions losing the match by mere 2 runs. Roaring Lions managed to reach 185/4 in 20 overs.
