Pragnesh Kanpillewar (147 & 106) & Varun Lavande (104) shine for Mumbai in the U19 Cooch Behar Trophy’19
Mumbai after electing to bat first posted a total of 374/10 in 100.4 overs thanks to some brilliant batting by Varun Lavande (104) and Pragnesh Kanpillewar (147).
Varun opening the innings scored 104 off 193 balls laced with 7 fours in what was a solid ton while skipper Pragnesh Kanpillewar who has been in brilliant form scored a fluent 147 off 194 balls which had 20 fours and a six.
Himachal Pradesh in reply were bundled out for 245 runs with Atharva Ankokelar being the pick of the bowlers taking 5/46 in 26 overs while Arjun chipping in with 3 wkts. Mumbai in the 2nd innings were all out for 266 with Pragnesh again scoring 106 off 131 balls making it back to back hundreds in the match taking the lead to 392 runs.
Himachal Pradesh chasing 393 were all out for 232 runs thanks to Praful Devkate’s impressive spell of 5/69 in 25 overs while Arjun Tendulkar taking another 3 wkts for 33runs in 19 overs as Mumbai went on to win by 192 runs.
