Prasad Pawar (51*) & Sagar Mishra’s fifer hands over a 1st win of the season for Parkophene Cricketers in Kanga League’19

It was a match between two experienced clubs namely Parel SC and Parkophene Cricketers. Parel Sporting Club after being put to bat first were all out for 72 runs thanks to some quality bowling by Parkophene bowlers. Parel SC lost both their young openers Pragnesh Kanpillewar and Varun Lavande who have represented India U19 quickly which created a somewhat positive momentum for Parkophene Cricketers. Sagar Mishra was the pick of the bowlers coming up with a crucial spell of 5/25 in 11 overs. Sagar was spot on with his line and length as he provided some quick breakthroughs which resulted in Parel SC getting all out under 100 runs.

Parkophene team could have also faced the same fate as Parel SC batsman had it not been a brilliant half century from Prasad Pawar at no.4 (51* off 68 balls).

Over the years, Prasad has developed a reputation of scoring runs under crunch situations rescuing his teams on various occasions and this knock was a no exception either as it helped them take a 1st innings lead over Parel SC.

Parkophene Cricketers won the match on 1st innings lead while it was Sagar with the ball first and than Prasad rescuing with the bat ensuring a resounding win.
