Prathamesh Pawar (89) & Sagar Mishra (51*) & Adeeb Usmani (66*) hit impressive 50’s in the A Div Kanga League’19

Muslim United after being put to bat first at the PJ Hindu Gymkhana Ground were off to a shaky start with some quick top order wickets but it was Prathamesh Pawar at no.4 hitting an aggressive knock of 89 runs in 63 balls. Playing at strike rate of 100+ in Kanga is usually rare but Prathamesh was in a different zone altogether smashing 7 fours and 7 sixes in his quickfire 89.

Pawar got good support from Dhawal (22) and Deepak Kumar (32*) as Muslim United reached a healthy total of 217/8 dec in 57 overs. Left-arm spinner Sagar Mishra was the pick of the lot taking 4/63 in 15 overs.

Parkophene Cricketers in reply batted for 19 overs smashing 139 runs in mere 114 balls they got to play. Opener Adeeb Usmani who is known for his natural strokeplay scored 66* off 49 balls.

All-rounder Sagar Mishra who came at no.5 seemed like he wanted to break his own record of 6 sixes in 6 balls as he brutally plonked bowlers for sixes en-route his 51* off 34 balls which had 6 sixes. His innings also included 5 sixes in one over giving a tough fight to Muslim United bowlers.

Even though the match ended in a draw, it was an interesting battle between two top teams as batsman from both the teams wanted to dominate each other which resulted in an exciting competition.
