Sagar Mishra’s all-round performance goes in vain as CGST lose the Semi-finals of Moorjhani Shield’22

On April 20, Mumbai Customs took on GST during the semi-finals of Moorjhani Shield in Mumbai. Mumbai Customs won the toss and elected to bowl.

Invited to bat first, CGST posted 7-136 in 20 overs. Sagar Mishra, who came in at number four, scored the majority of the runs. Mishra muscled 86 runs off 43 balls to steer his side to a respectable score. He played some good looking shots and ran well between the wickets. However, there were no other major contributions with the bat from CGST.  On the other hand, for Mumbai Customs, Shivaji Yadav, Parag Khanna and Aakash Parak picked up two wickets each.

In reply, Mumbai Customs completed the formalities in 16 overs, to win the match by six wickets. Vikrant Auti led the run chase from the front with 49 runs.
