Sahil Purohit’s Six-Fer guides Young Social Cricket Club to a win in Kanga Knock Out Tournament’22

On April 24, Young Social Cricket Club took on Challengers Cricket Club at the Azad Maidan in Mumbai during the Kanga Knock Out Tournament. Challengers Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Riding on Suraj Kadwadkar’s 60 off 65 balls, Young Social Cricket Club piled up 4-241 in 45 overs. Nilay Daga was the other half centurion who mustered 56 runs off 74 balls for Young Social Cricket Club. With the ball, for Challengers Cricket Club, Varad Rane, Roshan Pal, Yatharta Yadav and Shakir Shaikh claimed one wicket apiece.

In reply, Challengers Cricket Club were bowled out for a paltry score of 81 in 23.2 overs.  Yatharth Yadav top scored with 27 runs off 32 balls and was the lone warrior in the fight. On the other hand, Sahil Purohit wreaked havoc with the ball for Young Social Cricket Club as he scalped 6-23 in 8.2 overs. Purohit rattled the opposition in a jiffy through his consistent lines and lengths.   

Sahil Purohit’s six wicket haul helped Young Social Cricket Club register a 160-run win over Challengers Cricket Club during the Kanga Knock Out Tournament.
