Sameep Misal (141) & Nikhil Giri shine on Day 2 of YGCL U16 Championship’21

RBCA after opting to bat first at Karnatak S.A, Cross Maidan posted a healthy total of 260/2 in 40 overs. Opening the innings, Sameep Misal scored a brilliant innings of 141* off 115 balls smashing 18 fours and 1 six with a healthy strike rate of 122.61. Sameep was well supported by Krish (29 runs) , Harsh Aghav (28 runs) & Ayush Sawant (54* off 36 balls) with whom he stitched crucial partnerships.  

 

 

Ageas Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy in reply managed to score 231/8 in 40 overs with top scores by Tushar Singh (92 off 203 balls) and Priyanshu yadav (57* off 67 balls). From the bowlers, Likhit Kadam (2/22) and Ayush Sawant (2/46) were the pick of the lot.

In the match between Yuva Cricket Academy and Titans Cricket Academy at National CC, Cross Maidan, Yuva Arjun Cricket Academy after being put to bat first scored 205/9 in 40 overs. Siddant Rai (39 runs) and Aarush Nainwad (34 runs) were the top scorers for the team.

 

 

Titans Cricket Academy in reply were all out for 105 runs with opener Bhushant Sawant top scoring with 41 runs. The bowlers did an excellent job with Nikhil Giri being the pick of the lot with bowling figures of 3/18 in 6 overs. Apart from him, Adarsh Yadav with 3/22 was the 2^nd best of the lot.
