Yogesh Balwadkar’s crucial 54 steers AESA Pune to a win in the Architects T20 Championship’20
AESA Pune after opting to bat first at Vengsarkar Academy, Mahul posted a total of 157/9 in 20 overs which is quite a defendable total. Opening the innings, it was Yogesh Balwadkar who laid the foundation with a brilliant 54 off 38 balls laced with 5 fours and a six. Apart from him, MM Hande at no.4 scored a 25 ball 34 while also stitched a small stand with Yogesh which came in handy for the team. All-rounder Shahen Mistry from the opp team was the pick of the bowler with 3/27 in 4 overs.
Nauman Construction Dynamites in reply gave a tough fight managing to reach 154/7 in 20 overs. It was a last over thriller where in just a handful of runs ended the match in AESA’s favor. For Nauman’s XI, they had batters chipping in with cameos but one solid knock of 45 or 50+ from their playing XI could have helped them change the result of the match. The bowlers were pretty much spot on while Yogesh Balwadkar turned out to be the best bowler too with bowling figures of 2/18 in 4 overs.
