Held at the National CC, Cross Maidan in Mumbai today, it was a match of the highest Division(A) of the Kanga League where prolific players are pitted against each other and one such match was between National CC and Fort Vijay CC where both the teams are known for their experience and match winning players. Fort Vijay CC won the toss and took the safest decision which almost every team has been doing this season of fielding first.

Batting first, National CC were all out for 171/10 in 62.1 overs. The top order failed but it was their middle order batsman Ajinkya Belose who made his presence count in the side as he scored a very crucial knock of 62 off mere 58balls which included 5fours and 5sixes to enthrall the crowds. Right-handed Ajinkya scored 62 at a strike rate of 107 and looked promising. From the bowling side, it was an almost one man show as slow left arm bowler Sagar Udeshi won the hearts of many coming up with envious bowling figures of 7/71 in 24.1 overs which also included 9maidens.

In reply, Fort Vijay CC made 57/5 in 23 overs before the end of the day’s play and the match was declared drawn. Even though the match ended in a draw but the match witnessed some promising performances like Ajinkya’s rescuing efforts of 62 at the middle order and Sagar’s fantastic display of spin bowling. Cricketgraph congratulates both the boys while wishes both the teams luck for their upcoming matches.
