Amogh kartik scores a destructive 45ball 105 vs Pallava Team in the U-16 Champions Trophy
It was a match which showed why a good middle order batsman are always important to have in the side. It was an exciting T20 match between Pallava & Mulund Gymkhana at the Casario Cricket Ground where Mulund Gymkhana batted first and inflicted pressure on the Pallava team.
Mulund Gymkhana batted first though they were off to a shaky start when they were struggling at 40/3 & were certainly not looking strong enough to cross the 200run mark. But as we say, where there is a movie script, there is always a hero & Amogh kartik was one such boy who completely changed the script with his destructive century. Such was his swag at the crease he smashed the very 1st ball of the innings for a six which speaks a lot about his confidence at the crease. Right-handed Amogh smashed a quickfire 106 off mere 45balls reminding us of what Risabh Pant did a few days ago. Amogh Karthik smashed 10 sixes & 10fours and literally toiled with the bowlers like as if he was a man on a mission. Nestor also chipped in with a quick 38 & stitched a nice partnership with Amogh helping them reach a mammoth total of 248/4 in 20 overs.
Chasing 249, Pallava team was all out for just 72runs. It was also a wonderful bowling perfomance where the bowlers bowled in the right areas & kept on taking wickets at regular intervals.
Mulund Gymkhana won the match by a big margin of 174runs & ‘Amogh Kartik’ was declared man of the match for his outstanding hundred. Cricketgraph congratulates Amogh & the whole team for putting up such a good show & also wishes them all the luck for a promising future ahead.
