DU Inter College: DCAC beats St. Stephens College by 8 wickets; Ashish Tokas hits 86
Riding on opener Ashish Tokas’ sparkling knock of 86 runs and excellent bowling performance by Mohit and Harsh (3 wickets each), Delhi College of Arts & Commerce (DCAC) defeated St. Stephens College by 8 wickets in their inter college knockout match, played at SGGSCC Ground, Pitampura.
Batting first, St. Stephens boys were all out for 178 runs in 39.3 overs. Nishant top scored with 39 runs. There were important contributions from Rishab Singh (26), Kushal (28) and others that helped them reach a modest total. For DCAC, Mohit and Harsh captured 3 wickets each whereas Venkat Shivam scalped 2.
In reply, DCAC were off to a flying start as openers Ashish Tokas (86) and Kshitij (47*) added 135 runs at more than run a ball for the first wicket. After Ashish got himself out to Pratush Singh, Tanuj Pawar did not let the momentum slip as he scored a quick fire 14 ball 31. Kshitij remained unbeaten and helped his team cross the finish line.
