Mohit Tanwar’s 65 ball 92 takes Rizvi to a comfortable win in the Bhaskar Memorial U-12 Tournament

It was a league match between two competitive teams namely Rizvi Sports Club vs United Sports club thane at Chembur Gymkhana ground. With a strong batting line up Rizvi boys entered the crease batting first.

The strong batting line up of Rizvi lived up to their expectations as they scored a mammoth 235/3 in just 25 overs. Right handed talented opener Owais Khan once again showed his batting prowess with a fluent 81. No.3 batsman Mohit Tanwar was the highest scored & shined brilliantly for Rizvi as he scored a match-winning 65 ball 92 which lifted the team total to such a big score. Right handed mohit smashed 13 glorious fours and 3 big sixes out of which a straight six was his personal favorite. Chasing 235 against a strong team like Rizvi is always going to be tough & United sports club did felt the pressure as they were bundled out for just 70 runs in 15 overs.

Nishith was the pick of the bowlers taking 3 wickets in 5 overs for Rizvi. Rizvi won the match by a big margin of 165 runs & Mohit Tanwar was adjudged ‘man of the match’ for his spell binding knock. After such a wonderful show, Mohit and the whole team will certainly move ahead in the tournament with a lot of confidence.
