What an amazing match to witness where pure hard hitting and entertainment was provided by the Patil brothers & their middle order batsman Amit as Rika Global piled up 253 runs in just 20 overs to almost make a record of sorts at Elf Vengsarkar Academy in oval. Rika Global won the toss & elected to bat first on a belter of a track which looked good for the batsman.
Batting first, pair of Patil brothers who opened the innings together this time made their presence felt. A force to reckon, both the openers Akash & Prakash completely anhilated the bowling attack as they hardly spared any bowlers who came in their way. Right-handed Akash scored a magnificent 90 off mere 47balls which included 16fours & a six while Prakash scored a equally aggressive 61 off just 38balls at the top of the order. Both the batsman created a positive momentum for the next batsman to come & make a big total on the board. What followed was a string of big fireworks as their middle-order batsman R Amit scored a blazing 74* of just 19balls. Yes! Just 19balls to make 74 runs at a strike rate of almost 400! Right-handed Amit was using his willow as his weapon to destroy the opposition & was smashing the balls as if he was playing baseball. Amit smashed 7sixes & was a pure spectacle of entertainment.
Chasing 254 is not a regular T20 score to chase down & it was surely tough for Johnson & Johnson to reach that target. However, they played fairly good enough but managed to reach only 178/7 in 20 overs. A Sharma & P Patil were the leading scorers with 34 & 41 respectively. It was a good bowling perfomance where all the bowlers contributed in their capacity with R Amit being the pick of the bowlers scalping 2/22 in 4 overs.
Rika Global won the match by a big margin of 75 runs & credit must go to the Patil brothers as well as Amit for his all-round perfomance. Also had Amit faced a few more deliveries, he could have reached the fastest hundred too. Cricketgraph congratulates the whole team as well as these young talents & wishes them to keep playing the same brand of cricket in their coming future!
