It just feels so good as a cricket lover to see promising young kids performing like pros in high pressure matches. Perfomances like these assure you that the future of Indian cricket is surely in safe hands. Chasing a score on a track which was highly favoring the bowlers, it was a commendable perfomance from the 14yr old Rutvik to say the least.

Santosh Sports Academy won the toss & elected to bat first. It was a great display of batting put by them too as they managed to score 234 in 30 overs which is a very healthy total to defend. Almost every batsman contributed in their capacity and it was a collectively good perfomance. Raj Patil was the only one though who made a half century (51) followed by 46, 34 & 32 by Praik Punjwani, Sangeet & Bunty respectively. The bowlers did got smashed but Karthik Khod & Pratham Agarwal took 2 wickets each.

Chasing 234 at more than 7.5runs per over on a bowling track is always a daunting task. Add to it they lost their 1st wicket without even opening the account (they were 0/1 at one stage) but in came Rutvik at no.3 who looked like a man on mission as if he was assigned a secret job to completely destroy the opposition. On a license to kill, Rutvik scored a gigantic knock of 130 coming off mere 61 balls where he mostly dealt in boundaries. Sangdore made his bat talk as he smashed 20 fours & 4big sixes to enthrall his team mates and the spectators alike. At one point chasing such a big score was looking like a tough task but this talented little kid made it look so easier. The rest of the players batted around him as Anil shetty, Sujal shah Eisa Maulavi chipped in with 36, 29 & 31 respectively.

It was a tough fight given by Santosh Sports Academy in every capacity & the match remained exciting till the end, however Meridian school won the match by 2wkts & the highlight of the match was surely this little master who proved to be quite a revelation. Cricketgraph congratulates Rutvik & the whole team for their win & wishes them to keep playing this good brand of cricket for a long long time.
