Played at the Young Zoroastrian CC, Azad Maidan in Mumbai, New Hindu CC clashed with Young Men CC Vasai where in Vasai won the toss and elected to field first as the wicket was good to bowl on to restrict the opposition to a low total.

Their decision to bowl first was spot on as they restricted New Hindu CC to just 127/all out in 37.1 overs. Opener Pratik Patil scored a fluent 59 off 83 balls (3fours and a six) while the rest of the batsman crumbled in front of him. Off-spinner Raja Gode was the pick of the bowlers taking 4/32 in 11 overs while he got excellent support from slow left arm spinner Sagar Sule too as he also chipped in with 4/37 in 9.1 overs.

However, Young Men CC Vasai could not emulate their good bowling perfomance in their batting as they crumbled like a pack of cards for 106/all out. Right-handed opener Vinish Phillips stood like a rock top scoring with 50 off 72balls. Kartik Mishra impressed one and all with his excelling spin bowling taking 4/21 in 6.4 overs. New Hindu CC again batted in the 2nd innings for 5 overs before the end of the game’s play and they won the match on 1st innings. Both the teams gave a tough fight but it was their spin bowlers and openers from their respective teams who impressed one and all. Cricketgraph congratulates the winning team while wishes luck to all the players for their upcoming matches.
