The 2nd edition of the tournament was played between 10 teams divided into 2 groups of 5 each. After several weeks of excellent cricket played between the teams, we have our two finalists.

On one hand, Fledge Cricket Club are a well-established team in Delhi Cricket circles. They have some really good players in their squad that makes them such a strong side. Two of their batsmen Neeraj Sehgal and Saurabh Balwani have hit centuries in the current edition of the tournament. In the first match of the tournament against RBS Rockers, they batted out the opposition by scoring 238 and set the tone of the match and the tournament. No wonder they are in the finals and a step away from grabbing yet another title.

Skipper Manik says, “It feels great to be in the finals yet again. Synergy Sports are the best organizers in Delhi and we feel proud to be associated with them. Both teams are undefeated till the finals and have good players to turn the game single handed. We need to play as per our strength and May the better team win on the day. We are looking forward to bring home the second edition too. My best wishes to all the players playing tomorrow.”

Their opponents, Rubixis Technologies are tough nuts to crack too. Playing for the second time in the tournament, Rubixis also won all their matches on their route to the final. They won against MAGS, Martini Boys, Predators and Golden Gladiators in the group stage. They won the semi-final against RBS (Himanshu).

Skipper Pankaj says, “We played in first edition of Synergy. It turned out to be a very cool tournament and we enjoyed very much. Also the ground at Pitampura is phenomenal. We play to enjoy ourselves and for fitness. We can’t really devise any strategy for the final as we haven’t played much against each other but we will go out there, give our best and hope for the best.”

It is really difficult to predict who has an upper hand in the final but Fledge Cricket Club being the defending champions hold a slight edge over their opponents. Rubixis on the other hand have nothing to lose and can go out all guns blazing. This is what makes this Synergy T20 Blast final a much anticipated final to watch.
