Talented boys Princely Perreira and Arpit Dhadve smash unbeaten hundreds to steer their team to a win in the Vasai Colt Tournament ’17

Played at the Chimaji appa ground in Vasai, it was a match where two really young talented cricketers displayed their might with the bat as they scored fabulous unbeaten tons which not only helped their team register a clean win but also stamp their class all over.

Played between National school,virar and Infant Jesus Nallasopara School, it was a 45 over match where in National School batted first after winning the toss. Opener Princely Perreira made an unbeaten 132* off just 119balls which included 18fours as be anchored the innings till the end while Arpit Dhadve who came in at no.5 went on to score a swashbuckling 117* off just 94balls which included 18fours. Not only were these two impressive with the bat, they also stitched a giant partnership which helped their team reach a mammoth total of 413/3 in 45 overs.

In reply, Infant Jesus succumbed to the pressure of chasing as they were bundled out for just 78runs. Tushar singh was the pick of the bowlers as he came up with impressive bowling figures of 4/20. National school won the match by a big margin of 335runs and it was certainly these two young prodigies who impressed one and all with their batting skills and some great cricketing shots. Also it was good to see Arpit continuing his form from the Total cup where he was equally consistent with the bat. National school’s coach Santosh Pingulkar sir who is also the head coach of Golden Star Cricket Academy and has trained numerous players including the likes of Pragnesh Kanpillewar, Prithvi Shaw must be also appreciated for putting in the hardwork.
